Face to face interpreting

What is it?

Small or one-on-one meetings normally use ‘consecutive interpreting’, where the speakers pause often to allow the interpreter to provide an interpretation. ‘Simultaneous interpreting’, which involves microphones and earpieces, is used for larger conferences.

How does it work?
